WHEP - MAMMALS of the ADKS

WHEP: WILDLIFE HABITAT EDUCATION PROGRAM is being held on Wednesday, December 10th—5:30pm—6:30pm at the CCE Training Center in Warrensburg.

Youth ages 5-19 are invited to a Wildlife of the Adirondacks interactive, educational event sponsored by 4-H. Come find out more about many species of wildlife from around the area, participate in hands-on learning through the use of pelts, skulls, and other indicators of who is in your neighborhood. We will discuss what is out there, the food each species eats, and the type of habitat that they may live in.

INTRO TO AIR RIFLE PROGRAM

An INTRO TO AIR RIFLE PROGRAM is being held on Sunday, December 7th from 1pm-3pm at the Dunham’s Bay Fish & Game Club in Queensbury.

This program is open to youth ages 9 and up. MUST be enrolled in 4-H to participate. Fee $5 for current members, $25 for new members - includes 4-H enrollment fee.

PAPER CLOVER CAMPAIGN

 

Please buy a PAPER CLOVER when you visit the Queensbury Tractor Supply to support 4-H in your community!

Since 2010, Tractor Supply has partnered with 4-H to prepare youth to be ready for work and life. The success of the Paper Clover campaign has raised more than $24 million to impact local youth with the technical skills and life skills that prepare them for whatever comes their way. 100 percent of funds raised through the bi-annual Paper Clover campaign directly benefits 4-H youth. 90 percent of donations directly support 4-H youth in the state where the funds were raised, and the remaining 10 percent supports the overall mission and growth of 4-H nationally.

A FREE CROCHET CLASS is being offered to youth ages 5-19. Registration is required and can be done by e-mailing mlb222@cornell.edu.

In 4-H, we believe in the power of young people. 4-H is America’s largest youth development organization with over 6 million members. Youth ages 5-19 are welcomed and encouraged to join anytime!

Current members are reminded to get the re-enrollment forms in by NOVEMBER 30th in order to be eligible to participate in state 4-H trips or the Fair Superintendent Program.
