Board President James Kneeshaw of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County announces the selection of John Bowe as the organization’s new Executive Director. Mr. Bowe previously held the position of 4-H Team Leader for the last fifteen years, Assistant Director for the last nine years, and served as interim Executive Director for the past year.
Previously, Mr. Bowe served as a 4-H Community Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Washington County for five years. In total, Mr. Bowe has been working with the Cornell Cooperative Extension system for over 21 years. His experience and dedication as a program educator, assistant director, and supervisor of the 4-H & Family Living department have proven he is ready to take on this next vital role.
Mr. Bowe will be working with the current experienced staff and several new staff to assure quality programs for all residents of Warren County. One of the first projects he will be working on with the Board of Directors, the staff, partners, and community residents is to develop a strategic plan to establish a vision and direction for the Extension’s future. Cornell Cooperative Extension will continue to work closely with the Warren County Board of Supervisors and community leaders promoting Cornell’s programs to enrich the life skills of the people in our county.
