Location:  Dunham's Bay Fish & Game Club
2080 Ridge Road
Queensbury, NY 12804

Warren County 4-H Shooting Sports program will be conducting a 4-H archery program on Sunday, January 3rd at Dunham’s Bay Fish & Game Club. Children 8 years to 18 years of age will learn all fundamental safety steps for handling and shooting a bow.

Intermediate will run from 1-3PM and will cover the use of compound bows, discuss basic use of sights, and continue to build on shooting form.  Advanced will run from 3-5PM and will use crossbows with red dot sights.

As with all NYS 4-H Shooting Sports programs, Warren County instructors are either State or nationally certified in their area of discipline. Safety is always the primary focus of the program. There is a limit of 12 youth for this program. Bows, arrows, tabs, arm guards, and targets will be provided by 4-H for this event.

Fee:  $5 for current 4-H members, and $15 for non-members (which includes a required 1 year membership in 4-H). Pre-registration is required by calling 623-3291 or 668-4881.

4-H BOTTLE DRIVE

Extra! Extra! It’s Re-enrollment Time!

The fees will REMAIN THE SAME, IF YOU RENEW BY NOVEMBER 30th
¨   Single Youth Membership $10
¨   Family of Two or More Youth $15
¨   Inclusive Membership $30 (includes FREE admission to all programs with a program fee of 5 or less)
¨   There are no fees for volunteers at this time.
Warren County is still one of the most affordable programs in the state.

Here are some changes for 2015-2016:
¨ Each 4-H family/member will once again be responsible for completing and returning his/her re-enrollment forms to our office.
¨ Re-enrollment forms MUST be completed, paid, and returned to the office by November 30th for members to be considered to participate in county trips, club points, or specific programs.  This ensures that the youth are covered by our insurance program.
¨ Re-enrollment forms returned AFTER November 30th will be charged $20 for single membership, $30 for two or more youth, and $60 for the inclusive membership.
¨ There is an updated re-enrollment form that combines the re-enrollment form,  a  NEW code of conduct, photo release, and acknowledgement of risk forms into one form that requires two sets of initials and one parent and one youth signature.  No more of the four different forms...this should make your job easier!!!  Only the 4-H medical form is still separate

It has been a great year here at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County.  According to
preliminary data from our ES237 report (that’s Government lingo for attendance numbers), we have once again reached over 4,000 youth during school enrichment, special interest, and club programming.

So, let’s get the new year party started!
