SAVE THE DATE - STAR TEEN TRIP!

Date:  May 3rd—5th, 2024

Location:  NYS Fairgrounds, Syracuse

Calling all Warren County 4-H’ers—STAR applications will be due on Friday, February 9th

The State Teen Action Retreat (STAR) is an excellent opportunity for 4-H youth ages 13 and up to explore all facets of leadership.  Find what your own leadership traits are, develop new leadership skills; and of course, meet lots of new friends from all around the state!

The application will need to be in the form of a short essay on ANY of the following:

à Who do you feel demonstrates leadership and why?

à When (or where) have you observed leadership in action? (please explain)

à What are some leadership qualities that you personally would like to develop?

à Why do you want to go to STAR?

Just choose one of these topics and write us an essay (one page maximum).

Essays must be submitted by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9th to Dan Carusone either by e-mail at djc69@cornell.edu, or to Shannon McPheeters at sdm246@cornell.edu or they can also be dropped off at (or even mailed to) the office.  Once your essay is received, we will acknowledge it and give further instructions for registration.

As with all trips, Warren County 4-H youth need to have completed their public presentations (or make
arrangements with Roxanne) prior to STAR.

For more information: E-mail Dan at djc69@cornell.edu) or Shannon at sdm246@cornell.edu  or call the office at 518-668-4881.
