Our fourth graduating senior is Wendy Zimmerman. Wendy joined 4-H at the age of 10 and has participated in natural resource programs, public presentations, shooting sports and leadership events such as STARR (State Teen Action Representatives Retreat) and Career Explorations at Cornell. She earned the Advanced Level II Adirondack Guide designation during her five years in the Guide program. Wendy presented at the Capital District Public Presentation event and served as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the Annual Meeting and Dinner of Cornell Cooperative Extension in 2018.
Wendy will graduate from Saratoga Springs High School. During the pandemic she helped organize a virtual induction ceremony for the National Honor Society and has been a long-time volunteer of the National Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame in Saratoga. In the fall she will be leaving for the University of Rochester where she will be a biomedical engineering student.
Congratulations, Wendy! Enjoy some highlights of your 4-H experience. We are proud of you and each of our graduates who mean more to 4-H, their community, their country, and their world than you can ever imagine!
